This project stands as an investigation into what can separate real from fake. Research and experiments included trick photography and anti-fraud devices, as well as the exploration of patterns and questions of philosophy.

The images are of various increments of the project, the first being of the final piece, an object I created as a physical manifestation of the question posed by the experiment of 'Schrödinger's cat'. The 9" concrete cube holds a working lightbulb that can be turned on and off using the attached switch.
