The inspiration for this project was an article that documented the events of a failed bank heist and later form the basis of the film, Dog Day Afternoon.

I found that many desirable characteristics for people on both sides of the law were often shared, but put to opposing uses. Experimentation lead to a moiré pattern being chosen as the most succinct graphic tool to display this.
